BigBody with EBS System in Dynamic Driving Test

Safety and efficiency are at the heart of our developments. In June, in collaboration with TÜV SÜD Auto Partner, we conducted a dynamic driving test (also known as the "moose test") with a fully loaded BigBody 750. The focus was to assess the performance of the installed EBS system and air suspension. To prevent the vehicle from tipping over in case of an emergency, side support wheels were attached to the vehicle.

The excellent air suspension remained steady even during rough maneuvers. So, after the official test rounds, driver Michael (from Krampe Service) got the green light. Under the watchful eye of Jan (Control Technology), he pushed the dump truck over the track and pushed it to its limits. We captured the scenes with the camera.

The features of the installed Wabco EBS system include electronically controlled pneumatic braking with load-dependent brake pressure regulation (ALB) and integrated systems such as the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and Roll Stability Support (RSS) to enhance safety and stability, as well as reduce braking distance.

Furthermore, the system offers various control options for air suspension and brake functions that decrease tire wear and fuel consumption.
