Krampe ZV 22 M - the new modular system for drawbar and steering

In the heat of harvest it may become necessary to replace a trailer or add one to fleet, but then it turns out that the right model is not available at your local dealer’s. In another scenario, a used trailer that features a certain specification may secure a higher resale price.

These are the situations for which Krampe offers a clever solution - the modular ZV 22 M drawbar for the Big Body 700, 750 and 790 models. This drawbar is specified to allow machine owners to converse an existing caster steer trailer to a forced steer unit and it provides a choice of rubber or pneumatic suspension as well as hydraulic height control. 

Allowing dealers and customers to specify a trailer to individual needs and applications, this new standard ZV 22 M drawbar offers plenty of flexibility and gives the peace of mind of having made the right purchase decision. 

To implement the modular system, the yoke of the drawbar is designed to accommodate the individual components that make up the various systems. To converse the drawbar from caster to forced steering simply clamp the bumper guard to the bar. The same applies to the consoles for the master rams that are installed in line with the yoke.

Introduced at  Agritechnica 2015, the new ZV 22 M drawbar was very welcomed by the visitors. "This new detail gives contractors the flexibility they need. It increases the machine’s versatility so it is able to respond to various requirements and it makes a strong selling point when trading the used machine," explains Helmut Hövelmann, head of sales at Krampe. The ZV 22 M drawbar is undergoing further refinements to adapt it to other Krampe models as well.
