Agility comes on two axles now – the new Krampe DA 24 'Roadrunner'

Since the new DA 34 'Roadrunner' drawbar trailer was introduced in summer 2014 the first machines have already put in a successful performance. Now Krampe introduces a new two-axle version of the successful 'Roadrunner' model.

Featuring a capacity of nearly 40 m³ with silage sides, the new DA 24 drawbar trailer offers an on-site payload of as much as 22 t, with 4 t of tongue load being transferred to the tractor. Rated to an admissible total weight of 24 t on a 40 km/h running gear, the trailer benefits from a standard pneumatic suspension which guarantees safe and smooth rides.

Like its 'big brother', the new two-axle DA 24 'Roadrunner' stands out for its enormous agility,

which is attributed to its slim drawbar that makes for extremely tight turns. Furthermore, the tipper tracks dependably behind the tractor and easily manages tight curves and reverse shunts. More than that, the front end of the machine and the tipping assembly form a single unit hence a single vehicle in licensing terms – an important detail that saves MOT and insurance costs.

In the matter of economic viability, the drawbar trailer was designed as a versatile machine for year-round utilisation.
Consequently it can be fitted with high-pressure tyres that ensure light pull, maximum fuel economy, and minimum tyre wear in haulage work; but it also takes flotation tyres for low ground impact (up to 600/55 R 26.5 at the rear).
