Krampe introduces new heavy-duty tridem tipper

Typically used at motorway construction sites and quarries, tractor-drawn sand and gravel tippers form a staple good in Krampe's product portfolio which now welcomes the addition of the latest SK 800 tridem model. This earth moving tipper features a classic design that relies on a smooth floor and conical body.

With the bodies measuring an internal length of 8 m, the new SK 800 sand and gravel tipper offers a transport capacity of 17.6 m³ and even 31.7 m³ when extended by silage sides, increasing the machine's versatility and allowing it to transport woodchips, grain and silage as well. The machine's conspicuous styling is a donation from our successful Big Body models, where the sides are made from single sheets and formed to a pipe-like structure, with multiple bends providing maximum stability.

The SK 800 is Krampe's first heavy-duty tipper that features an air suspended running gear as standard. Optimised to Krampe standards, the gear impresses by an extremely quiet and comfortable running, high stability and flotation. A hydraulic forced steering system is also standard specification, as is a 40 km/hr version, a hydraulic tailboard with a latch assembly that closes and locks the tailgate automatically. Opening wide, this tailboard makes for easy filling from the rear. True to Krampe's motto 'Quality on Wheels', buyers can opt for HARDOX steel as well as any type of hydraulic running gear.
 
For many years, the engineers at Krampe have been striving to minimise dead weights and maximise payloads by relying more and more on fine-grained steel sheets for the manufacture of the heavy-duty earth moving tippers. The benefit of this is great longevity and high payloads – such as those impressive 28 tonnes on the SK 800!

The new heavy-duty tipper was unveiled to the public at Krampe's Press and Contractors' Day in December 2014.
