Calculation of profitability is part of farmers and contractorsʹ daily business. Krampeʹs answer to the development of bigger transport volumes in combination with decreasing costs: the new tipping trailer Big Body 790.

This vehicle is a combination of a tridem-body and a tandem two-axle-chassis. Due to the exclusion of one axle, the deadweight is reduced and the result is a large volume vehicle with an outstanding handling. The 8m body comes with a longer rear overhang, which gives the customer an edge e.g. while unloading at a fall shelter.

One highlight of the Big Body 790 is the chassis. The Krampe engineers did a lot of work regarding the chassis over the last years. To gain a remarkable smooth running and road safety the air suspension, developed by Krampe, compensates impacts and road bumps. The excellent driving qualities lead to keen customer resonances out of the different transport areas since then. Now a Krampe tipping trailer is equipped with an air suspension as standard for the first time.

During the tipping the suspension bellows release to lower onto the rear axle for support.

A lift-/lowering-valve for air suspension and a manometer, which indicates the air pressure inside the air suspension is available optionally. Moreover a standard height-control-valve cares for an optimal suspension at several load conditions.

The Big Body 790 has a permissible total weight of 24 t at a maximum speed of 40 km/h according to the German road traffic regulations. With silage extensions the vehicle can reach a max. volume of 42m³. Steering axles are delivered as self-steering or forced steering version as well as electronic forced steering. Low-pressure tyres up to a rim diameter of 30.5ʹʹ can be mounted.

After successful field tests of the first units, the Big Body 790 is now available with all conceivable regular and special equipment.
