Krampe tipper for organic herb farmer - Big surprise from Michelin, Krampe and Grasdorf lottery

"Catch this trailer!" This was the slogan that promoted the raffle Michelin held at last Agritechnica. The prize was a Krampe Big Body tandem two-way tipper 750 S on Grasdorf rims and Michelin tyres.

The lucky winner was Michael Stöckl, an organic herb farmer from southern Germany, recently travelled to the Krampe factory with his staff Julius Gardel to collect his prize. Thomas Lodyga, Michelin's Key Account Manager Off Highway Transportation, Frank Kellewald, Grasdorf's Sales Manager and Krampe´s General Manager August Krampe congratulated Mr. Stöckl who could hardly believe his luck.

"When we bought new Michelin tyres last year we automatically entered the prize draw. Yet when Michelin broke the good news, we couldn't believe it at first. We are extremely happy," said organic herb grower Michael Stöckl at the handover event.

For several years now, the farm has been specialising herbs that are used for herb mixes and teas. "The approx. 39m³ volume including extensions gives us plenty of transport capacity," said Mr. Stöckl. The second largest tandem tipper from Krampe has a gross weight of 24 tonnes and a payload of 22 tonnes for on-farm applications. As a side tipper, the trailer combines the ruggedness of a rear tipper with the flexibility of a side tipper.

The suitable MICHELIN CargoXBib High Flotation tyres size VF 710/50 R26.5 176 D TL are among the OEM tyres on the Krampe trailers and feature the so-called "Ultraflex Technologies". The trailer tyre can run at minimum pressures of 0.8 bar, combining high efficiency, optimum ride quality and low soil compaction, especially in combination with an optional tyre pressure control system. Clad with agricultural trailer tyres, the tipper hauls more than ten tonnes on each axle at speeds of up to 65km/h - depending on national road traffic regulations.
