Greater choice for construction professionals: Krampe Tandem Halfpipe - now available with 30.5" tyres and with two body lengths

As of now the Krampe range of tandem halfpipe tippers offers construction contractors a greater choice of options. The well-proven walking beam chassis is now available with a 1.81 m axial distance for approx. 26 t technical payload instead of 25 t. Furthermore the established earthmoving tipper HP 20 is provided with a longer body.

This new tandem axle version named HP 24 allows with a 40 cm longer body a transport volume of 13.5 m³ (17,5 m³ to SAE 221). The model closes the gap between the existing HP 20 Halfpipe tipper with tandem axle and the HP 30 with tridem axle.

The new earthmoving tipper as well as the HP 20 were re-specified offering a higher capacity now: the trailers can be ordered with a walking beam chassis with a 1.81 m axial distance as of now. Besides the higher technical payload a big benefit is the possibility to use 600/60 R 30,5" tyres. After testing prototypes, the first serial machines are already proving their usability on customer sites.

Apart from this new developments the tandem trailers received a detailed update by the Krampe technicians. The drawbar was re-engineered and can be height-adjusted easily now, the system is already known from the Big Body models. Moreover the tailgate hydraulic ram was optimised, a faster opening and closing increases the productivity. These updates will be standard specification on all models from summer 2018. What has not been changed is the use of HARDOX 450 steel to manufacture the heavy-duty halfpipes.
